News Update 30.12.07 - The SPX takes shape!
The Hov Pod SPX is made from High Impact Polyethylene, used in the past for such applications as Formula 1 crash barriers. It is so superior in its buoyancy that you could but the hull in half with a chainsaw and it'd still float!
It's segmented skirts are made from Polyurethane and Nylon, and they are very, very strong, so less likely to wear, resulting in better performance and lower operating costs. I challenge anyone to try and tear one.. no one has managed it yet!
The Hovpod SPX is a culmination of many years of continual product development, and for those technical ones among us, are created with unique CAD parts engineered using CNC production processes to reduce vibration and wear. Components are marine grade stainless steel or aluminium to resist corrosion - engineered to provide trouble free operation in marine environments.
Not only that.. this SPX production process allows Hovpod to batch manufacture so they can eventually supply from stock, which means.... oh yes, that's right.... you get your new toy a lot faster!!

We are proud to introduce the exciting new Hovpod SPX!!
Made from High Density Polyethylene this superb hull has some fantastic characteristics... such as you can wallop it with a hammer and leave no damage!! (not that you'd want to but gives some reassurance to those beginners when they have a tree looming towards them!!)
It has been extensively tested and has amazing buoyancy in such that it took 1027 kilos before it started taking on water... plus a further 363 kilos before it would finally give in and sink!!
With reduced production times the SPX offers customers the chance to play sooner than you think!
Standard colours are red or blue, both with a granite nose cone. (Other colours available to order at an additional cost and lead time)
